FAQs
A Camper 3D Configurator is an interactive digital tool that lets users personalise camper vans in real time — from colours and layouts to accessories and off-grid options — while seeing instant visual updates.
Absolutely. All Studio 3DX configurators are responsive and optimised for use across desktop, tablet, and mobile — perfect for both online users and on-site sales.
Yes. You can display real-time pricing based on selections, and optionally allow users to save and submit their build for a formal quotation.
Yes. You can showcase several models and interior layouts, allowing customers to switch between them and compare configurations.
Every configurator begins with a 3D model. If you already have one, we’ll integrate it. If not, our team can create a high-quality 3D model from CAD files, technical drawings, or reference photos — with modelling services available at an additional cost.
We typically need:
3D modes, CAD files and reference models.
List of options (materials, accessories, colours)
Your brand assets (logo, fonts, colours)
Optional: pricing data, equipment images, or brochures
Most camper configurators go live within 4–10 weeks from the date we receive all necessary assets.
Yes. We provide an intuitive editor so you can manage models, update options, and change prices or images without writing code.
You retain full rights to your 3D assets and configuration data. However, the configurator engine itself is proprietary to Studio 3DX and cannot be transferred or self-hosted without a separate agreement. We offer continuity options to ensure your tool remains operational in any unforeseen event.
While the configurator backend is proprietary and maintained by Studio 3DX, you can update all content — including models, materials, and product options — through the editor interface we provide. If needed, we can discuss limited developer access for integration purposes, but core updates must go through our team.
The configurator runs on Studio 3DX’s cloud infrastructure, which ensures performance, real-time updates, and support. Self-hosting is not available by default, but we’re open to enterprise arrangements if long-term independence is a priority.
